Meridian is a travel tracking application that helps users log trips, monitor tax residency compliance, track visa information, and generate reports.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and name through our authentication provider (Clerk). When you use the app, you provide trip data (countries, cities, dates), visa information, and settings preferences. This data is stored securely in our database (Supabase) and is associated with your account.
Your data is used solely to provide the app's functionality: tracking trips, calculating tax residency days, monitoring visa status, and generating reports. We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Meridian uses the following third-party services to operate: Clerk (clerk.com) for authentication and account management, Supabase (supabase.com) for secure database storage, ExchangeRate-API (exchangerate-api.com) for live currency conversion rates, and Vercel (vercel.com) for hosting. These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.
Meridian allows you to invite other users to access your travel data through group sharing with invite codes. You control who has access to your data and can remove members at any time. Members you invite can view and edit your trip data depending on the role you assign them (owner, editor, or viewer).
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled, ensuring users can only access data belonging to their groups. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Authentication tokens are managed securely by Clerk.
You can export all your trip data as a JSON file at any time through the app's Settings page. Exported files contain only your travel data and do not include internal identifiers or account information. To delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at hello@meridian.camp.
Meridian does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. Authentication cookies are used solely to maintain your signed-in session.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
